Our Story

The owners, Martin and Maretha Lamprecht, fell in love with De Kelders when they first visited Gansbaai in 2014. The Whales, as well as the unspoilt nature and hiking trails fascinated them. Since then they have dreamed about having their own property in De Kelders. Their dream came true when they discovered this gem in Normandie street.

Within a few months the whole property underwent a facelift!

As frequent holiday makers and lovers of family holidays, they knew exactly what the requirements were for the perfect holiday home. And that is exactly what they tried to establish in SEAesta.

A home away from home, with all the luxuries needed to make it a memorable stay.

Gansbaai Harbour

5Km

Gansbaai is one of only a very few working fishing villages left in the Western Cape. The impressive old harbour wall that has been guarding the come and go of thousands of old veterans of the sea, is still a popular place for hand line fishing or a romantic stroll. It yields panoramic views of the endless ocean that inspired the origin of the town and in many ways, still sustains it. Several botique restaurants and pubs can be found in the harbour area.
